Averi – A Stunning Polydactyl – Adopted!

UPDATE: Adopted! Avery has chosen her people!
Back in August, four very frightened and extremely shy kittens were found under a deck outside of Carstairs. All of these kittens have amazing markings and all of them are polydactyls.  This beauty is Averi. She is absolutely stunning!
It took Averi some time to decompress to her new and safe surroundings at the Shelter – food is now delivered and there’s warm blankets and cozy beds to sleep on.
She is approximately 10 months old now and has really started to realize that those humans aren’t as scary as she once thought they were, especially when there’s treats to be had!  In fact, she’ll even come over and present herself for a gentle rub along her back and a head touch. She’s come a long way from where she was when she first arrived.
She can often be found cuddling up to the other shy residents of the shelter. She seems to provide comfort and love to the cats who watch from the sidelines.
Averi will require a home that can continue her journey in learning that humans can, in fact, be trusted. A quiet and calm home with understanding and patience and the time it may take for her to blossom and gain confidence to shine! Averi would benefit from another feline friend to help mentor her.
Averi’s shots are all up to date, she’s spayed and microchipped.
