This stunning 5 year old redhead arrived at the shelter as a kitten in November of 2017 with her mom, sister and brother. Kiera is the last one to find her furever home. She’s really ready to break free and find her furever home.
Kiera was having a difficult time adjusting to shelter life. Her trust in humans was terrible. If you made any moves to try and pet her, she’d run – and fast. So we needed to find her a foster home that would work with her in regaining that trust. We found the purrfect foster who understood that time, patience, understanding and a whole lot of love was needed for this gal to blossom into the best housemate she could be.
Kiera discovered that when humans go to bed, it’s the perfect time to get her belly rubs in and of course, those chin scratches. That’s when her purring really ramps up. She can startle a bit if she sees anything move too quickly or hears a sound she’s uncomfortable with, she will find her safe space. But she absolutely loves to be loved – humans are actually really great.
Kiera would do best in a home with older children who understand her current needs. She would love a spot on high, preferably close to a window where she can grab all the sunshine she can and a spot she can go to when she feels she needs to get her down time.
She’s back with us at the shelter and has been loving up all the volunteers and visitors she can. She’s spayed, all her shots are up to date and she’s microchipped.
