Potter was a motherless little black kitten who was brought into the shelter with his orange brother, Pumpkin. Two little Halloween kittens. As Potter learned how to be an indoor kitten and do the proper kitten things, he also made his presence known at the Shelter. Potter was a little bit naughty and made me laugh as he climbed up and down and pranced around. He was always ready for endless play and running up and down the hallway after springs and balls. Potter was a retriever who brought toys back so the volunteers would throw them again. Potter joined our family three years ago – our two older, more sedate cats taught him the ropes while he taught them how to play again. This little black panther crawled right into our hearts and continues to brings us daily joy with his antics.
Due to the amazing efforts of Tails to Tail Animal Rescue Shelter and the families who provide loving homes for 100s of cats and kittens at the Shelter and through fostering and adoption each year, each of our Shelter’s cats’ and kitten’s lives are changed for the better. Our Shelter and foster kitties are lovingly cared for while they wait patiently for their furever homes. Importantly, cats and kittens improve their human caregivers’ health and wellbeing – we love hearing stories from our Tails to Tell Alumni, and enjoy every precious photo of the cats they have adopted into their hearts and homes! My own cup is filled to overflowing when I volunteer at the Shelter or for the Shelter, and get unconditional love from my three kitties each day. Love is healing. And that little reality sits with me and gives me hope and optimism in a world where every little bit of hope means a great deal to these precious cats and kittens.
Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter is grateful to our many volunteers and donors who provide their time, talent, and treasure (i.e., dollars and donated items), to help our team to achieve our mission. Find your own loving cat or kitten by giving us a call at 403.946.0400.
