Ruby Red!

Say hello to Ruby! This shy, sweet lil’ 3 year old girl is getting over the grief of losing her former family who surrendered her last month. With love and patience from her foster family, Ruby has lost some fear and anxiety, and she has really started coming out of her shell. Ruby’s foster family has been showering her with love. They have been observing her eating habits closely, as initially Ruby lost her appetite for food and, sadly, for life for a while. However, Ruby is doing so much better now, as she gets spoiled with love, food and of course, treats. In her foster home, Ruby has perked right up and loves the attention from her humans but some days it can be on her terms only. Ruby the redhead can be a little sassy at times, but you just can’t help but love her all the more for it. Her personality is really starting to shine through. For example, Ruby especially loves getting face rubs and purrs up a storm. Her foster family has been working diligently getting her to engage in play (catnip toys are a favourite) and she really enjoys getting brushed out, but then what girl doesn’t love a trip to the hair salon! Ruby will even show her belly for rubs, which is a huge step forward in regaining her trust with humans.
If you would like to meet Ruby, please call the shelter at 403.946.0400 and they will let her foster momma know she has a date! Her foster momma will call you back and set up a day and time to visit.
